Eight Branches Academy of Eastern Medicine will be opening its doors to prospective students on November 21st at 1pm at 344 Dupont st. suite 302. This will be an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in studying Acupuncture or Chinese Medicine to have a tour of our campus, learn about our programs and curriculum, ask questions, and enjoy a complimentary treatment in our student clinic.
Here’s a bit of information about the philosophy of our school to get you started:
The name “Eight Branches” refers to the eight foundational branches of Chinese medicine: acupuncture, moxibustion, herbology, massage, nutrition, meditation/exercise (tao yin, qi gong, tai ji), cupping, and gua sha. Through a commitment to each of these facets of Chinese medicine, Eight Branches Academy offers its students not only an education rooted in an excellent theoretical understanding of Chinese Medicine, but an environment and curriculum that promote hands-on learning and practice.
By incorporating tao yin, qi gong, and tai ji into both our Acupuncture and TCM practitioner programs, we place a focus on personal growth and self-care to benefit the student as an individual as well as a future practitioner of Chinese Medicine.
